Light Show Contest Rules
Scroll down for the rules, but first a cool slideshow. Click a pic to get a full screen image.
- Light shows usually begin at 0550 GMT and 0650 GMT. The location is announced at the beginning of my show and also in DJ Erkenfresh’s bio. Tune in for the latest info.
- Each light show session lasts about five minutes, but you are free to come early and show off before the contest.
- All participants will perform their light show simultaneously.
- At the end of the show I will ask for watchers to wave in the Eve Radio chat and then roll my “fair” 20 sided die. I will count down the list and find the person corresponding to that number. I will call that person’s name out over the air and if they respond in the Eve Radio chat channel in game in a reasonable amount of time, that person becomes the judge. If they don’t, I will go down the list to the next person. If you want to pass on judging, just say “pass” (or easier yet don’t wave in the first place). People who wave multiple times will be disqualified for making my life difficult!
- The judge instantly wins 1/3 of the pot and then must decide who has the best light show(s) and wins the other 2/3 of the pot. They may split the isk out to multiple people in any fashion they desire. There are some restrictions on who they can give the isk to. The winner(s) must be present. The judge may not award any isk to themself or to anybody in their corporation. Bribing the judge is completely acceptible (because I’m not psychic)!
- Location changes according to my whim. Check my bio (DJ Erkenfresh) for details. I usually update it at least 30 minutes prior to my show. Once I’ve selected a location and announced it, I don’t change it to another system.
- I am poor. If you send me isk to give away, you will get a shoutout on the air! I spend a little of this isk replacing my rifter, sometimes twice a night and moving clones!
How Do You Do A Light Show?
Put modules on your ship that put off cool light effects. Lasers, energy vamps, sensor boosters for example. Shoot ‘em at jetcans, other players who can flip you, or your own drones!
